About me
My name is Lisa Miller - I am one of a few thousand people who go by this name.
I have been involved in the Web professionally since 2000 and have evolved through many roles including web copywriter, web coordinator, project manager, creative solutions producer and now SEO Strategist. Prior to this I was pursuing a science career in Zoology at the University of NSW. I have an honours degree in sexual selection which involved watching, drawing, feeding, rearing, photographing, measuring and counting guppies! While I enjoyed every minute of my honours project I decided to take a break before starting my PhD. During this time I got involved in the Web - my guppies are still waiting for me to come back.
About the site
Red Queen was started to be a site where I was going to build a collection of useful resources and references about developing content strategies and producing content for the Web. But then there was a bout of inactivity that lasted over a year. So for the time being I don’t know what the site is about…
About the site name
Since naming the site I have discovered Red Queen has different connotations for many people, which I like. For me however, it refers to the evolutionary principle of the same name. The Red Queen Principle states that “continuing development is needed to maintain fitness” and I think this applies to nearly everything.
